Frequently asked questions

What luggage restrictions should I be aware of?

Due to helicopter weight and space limitations, each guest is limited to 30 lbs, including carry-on items.

Please pack in a soft-sided duffel bag or sports bag, as hard-shell and oversized suitcases cannot be accommodated.

If you expect to exceed 30 lbs, contact us in advance so we can review options with you.

How does the helicopter transfer work?

Your group’s arrival and departure to and from the lodge are scheduled around a private helicopter transfer between Prince Rupert Airport and the lodge.

On arrival day, if you are flying by commercial flight or driving into Prince Rupert, you’ll take the Digby Island Ferry to the airport in time for the 2:00 p.m. helicopter departure. If you are driving, you are welcome to leave your vehicle at Inland Air for the duration of your stay.

On departure day, the helicopter departs the lodge for the Prince Rupert Airport at 2:30 p.m., following lunch.

What happens if my travel plans change or weather delays the helicopter?

Helicopter transfers are fully weather dependent, and flight decisions are made with safety as the top priority. If conditions prevent a flight, our team works directly with the pilots to safely transfer you to or from Prince Rupert, using alternate transportation when needed.

Helicopter transfers operate on a set schedule for each private group. If you need different arrival or departure times, alternate transportation can be arranged at your own expense. We are happy to share contact details and help with coordination.

Is food available on arrival and departure days?

Yes. On arrival day, you’ll be welcomed with soup and fresh-baked bread, along with baked goods, fruit, and snacks to take on the water.

On departure day, you’ll enjoy our beloved fish and chips before you leave the lodge.
